About Amandeep Kumar

I am currently the proud owner and founder of Reiki and Holistic Wellness. Throughout my own personal journey, I have grown to love the work of holistic therapies and very much believe that we all have the power within us to heal ourselves and work with the mind, body, soul and spirit. I am completely fascinated by how the mind and body create physical symptoms in the body and this is what can make us feel stuck or have an emotional response to the symptoms. Self-healing and alternative therapies are very close to my heart. I am a Reiki Practitioner and have skills and knowledge in alternative therapies. I have worked within the NHS as a Registered Mental Health Nurse for the past 18 years. I have a vast portfolio of mental health experience ranging from acute adult mental health inpatient care to community mental health service. I have experience working with all age groups and for the past 15 years I have worked with children and families in Child and Adolescent Mental Health NHS Services (CAMHS) I have been fortunate to gain a range of mental health experience, skills and knowledge throughout my career in the NHS both in clinical settings and leadership roles. I have managed and led the specialist eating disorder service for children and young people within CAMHS. I have supported young people and adults with a range of mental and emotional difficulties, specializing in eating disorders, self-harm, anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioral difficulties, phobias and stress management. I am currently in training to become a registered Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. I like to keep my skills and knowledge up to date in accordance with NHS NICE guidelines, evidence-based and best practice treatments.
