About Amar Taylor

While my peers were contemplating their future, I was already forging mine. I started a company with my partners that we’ve been running successfully for 20 years in a very competitive environment & closing my first 1-million-shilling order from a prestigious client all by the age of 18. Besides a thorough understanding of the security & safety industry & being able to fashion unique & innovative solutions, I have focused on financial management in this very capital-intensive industry. Additionally, I have initiated advanced initiatives to manage product, labor, & administrative costs while also working diligently to recruit individuals who want to be part of a solution-oriented business. Those who are anxious to learn the technical & management skills required to sustain & grow the business. I approach the business with a passion founded on direct hands-on involvement. From the beginning, & for the first 6 months when we had no technicians or helpers, I did the manual labor of getting cable containment installed, & finishing off the final fix & commissioning happening soon after. My team grew with me & I took over a more ‘desk related’ role in 2004, 6 years later. However, I am still very hands-on & enjoy getting my hands dirty. We were the first private company in the country given access to air-side security. This put us on the map for airports & cargo handling facilities & gave us international visibility to the global brands we still represent today. I can't say that our business has grown without any mistakes. We have made our share but only once. Each mistake is openly admitted & becomes a learning lesson for the future. This willingness to admit errors has given our staff the courage to admit theirs, learn from them & progress. As a result, we have had a remarkable ability to move our employees up through the ranks. My goal is to continue to grow the company & I welcome investors, recruits & prospective clients to come along on this exciting ride.
