A versatile legal professional with 15+ years of experience with Legal Compliance, Corporate Governance, Operational Risk Management, Day to Day Operations, Contract Management, Document reviewing, Drafting of Various Legal documents in different geographical locations ( mainly UK, USA and Australia). Knowledge on using various Legal Technology Platforms (like LEAP, Clio, Practice Evolve, Open Practice, NetDocs, Worldox, Smokeball, ActionStep, SmartDrafter) as per requirement in specific geographical locations. Knowledge on using tools like Westlaw UK, Lexis Nexis, Hein Online, AustLii for legal research work.Presently working as the Head of Operations/Country Head - India with Strategic Business Alliance an Australian Company having its head office in Melbourne Australia. In India the Company is known as SLAOS LLP having its office at Saltlake, Sector V in Calcutta. I had the opportunity to work with SBA/SLAOS from day 1 since its inception in 2010. As it was a start-up then so I had the challenge and the opportunity to work in diverse fields not only in Legal but in Accounts. As of today SBA, is a major name in Australia and we all are very proud of establishing of where we are now from where we started in 2010.At present my day to day role is to attend the client meetings, helping team members with Pilot projects and any other issues with regard to client deliverables.Previously I was associated with a Telecom major like British Telecom in London, UK at their Head Office in their Corporate Governance Team as a Junior Legal Counsel and also in BT India in their Gurgaon Office and after my stint with BT I was associated with Quislex, one of the pioneers in the Legal Process Outsourcing Industry. Out here, I have worked as a Senior Legal Associate in both Litigation as well as in their Contract projects.Besides degrees in LL.B. from University in Calcutta and LL.M. on International Law of Trade from University of Wales, UK, I also did a Diploma on Electronic Commerce and IP Law from WIPO, Geneva, Switzerland and also a Certificate Course on Risk Management from IBMI, Berlin Germany.I can bring to the table the experiences I have gathered from working with a telecom major Company, an Outsourcing Company who is a pioneer in the LPO Industry and the knowledge on working from the scratch in a start-up and helping the start-up to grow and establish itself.
