About Amaya Ross

Amaya Ross is a 2023 graduate of The Ohio State University. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Spanish Minor. While a student at Ohio State she held various leadership roles. These roles included Advocate for Community and Education Scholars (ACES) Social Co-Chair, Recruitment Host DEIJ Committee Equity Chair, Community Council Resident Advisor Representative, and NAACURH Regional Business Conference Philanthropy Chair. Her desire for service started during her time as her high schools Key Club president. In that role she spearheaded an initiative entitled "Safe Halloween" or "Halloween in the Halls". This event was intended to provide a safer alternative to trick-or-treating around town. While partnering with other local schools and Universities the initiative would go on to serve over families in her own town. After graduation Amaya moved back home to Kentucky where she gained employment as the Patient Services Manager/ Assistant Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. In this role she would continue her habit of leadership by serving as the Safety Committee Delegate for the department as well as an officer of the hospital's EATS Committee. In her spare time she tutors at that Carnegie Center in Lexington, Kentucky, is an active member of her church and watches sports.
