My primary objective is to work for an animal welfare charity particularly in a community based outreach, fundraising and strategic post encompassing collaborative projects to enhance holistic support for animals within the locality.I have gained a range of relevant experience during my three decades in the workplace including. Volunteering - Grass roots fundraising at several bucket collections for Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, cat socialisation, participation in event planning. • Managerial & Leadership – Encompassing over a decade’s extensive staff management experience including responsibility for coaching, training and appraisal for Teams at The British Library, LB Southwark and Hackney & Kensington Library.• Project Management – Substantial experience commencing with the Unlocking the Past Series of Heritage Events in Kent Libraries. The successful completion of the Project Management Module for my NVQ Level 4 in Operational Management evidenced my ability to facilitate the project life cycle from creative planning to performance monitoring.• Team working - My Stretch Assignment Project Team won the award for the Best Project on environmental issues out of seven teams. The award was presented at the Graduation Ceremony in September 2021 for Stepping Up, the award winning diversity leadership programme.• Research – Undertaking local history and genealogical research; setting up a pilot scheme for the West Kent Libraries Research Service• Fundraising - I was innovative in setting up a private sector partnership with the Stag Theatre in Kent to host joint heritage events resulting in raising the Library’s community profile in West Kent as well as generating increased revenue for the library events programme.• Strategic & Event Planning – including leading on Continuous Improvement Groups at the British Library as well as organising a series of events for Black History Month, Adult Learners Week and Arts and Heritage outreach community events.• Communication – Presentations, lectures, tours, inductions, information literacy & research sessions, team meetings, press releases, producing strategic reports for Continuous Improvement Groups at the British Library.• Administration – Including managing a complex overtime rota comprising over 100 staff at The British Library • High Level Service Delivery– evident from customer evaluation e-forms, feedback from Senior Management Teams and stakeholders, quality assurance processes. as well as feedback from colleagues during managerial qualification assessments.
