Now accepting new clients! Amber is a Clinical Psychologist who works in group practice at Aspire Therapy Center in Claremont, CA. She most recently worked at Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services (MCAPS) at the Claremont Colleges in Claremont, CA. Her background includes a wide variety of experiences such as serving in a community mental health setting, a multidisciplinary clinical setting, in-patient and outpatient hospital settings, and university counseling centers. Amber's research is in the areas of spirituality/religion, virtue development, goals and strivings, positive youth development, depression, adolescence, and young adults. Amber is a chapter co-author of Patience and Self-Renewal featured in Clinician’s Guide to Self-Renewal (Wiley), a clinical resource for helping professionals. As a clinical psychology post-doc, she provided brief therapy to individuals and couples. Her clinical areas of focus include working with adolescents, young adults, depression, anxiety, transitional issues, bio-psycho-social-spiritual problems, college/university population, eating disorders, diversity, cancer, and women's issues. Amber has been a long-time member of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association (SGVPA), the California Psychological Association (CPA), and the American Psychological Association (APA). Amber is involved in advocacy work at the local, state, and federal levels. She has served as CPAGS Membership Chair and was involved with organizing graduate students to attend CPA’s Leadership and Advocacy Day annually. Amber E.
