About Amber Boxem

I'm a December 2024 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Public Policy, now pursuing an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northeastern University, expected to graduate in September 2026. Growing up across the Netherlands, China, Singapore, and the United States has shaped my global perspective on public policy and healthcare. My clinical experience includes serving as a 911 EMT with Cataldo Ambulance, providing emergency medical services in the Greater Boston area, as well as prior roles as a Los Angeles County 911 EMT and an ER Technician at two Mass General Brigham hospitals. I also worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator with EMNet at Massachusetts General Hospital, contributing to research in emergency medicine. These experiences have deepened my commitment to both hands-on patient care and the broader impact of health policy and research. As I continue my training in nursing, I’m seeking opportunities that blend clinical practice, research, and advocacy to improve access and outcomes in emergency and acute care settings.
