About Amber Detty

I am the Director of State Performand Outcomes with AmeriHealth Caritas. Previously I was Manager of Analytics for Southeastern Health Partners, Senior Manager of Data & Analytics at Buckeye Health Plan and a Health Services Policy Analyst with the Ohio Department of Health. I have over 14 years of experience in population health and public health analytics, and 7 years of experience in managed care and healthcare analytics. I received my B.A. in Sociology from Berea College in Berea, KY with a minor in Spanish in 2004. I then received my M.A. in Sociology from The Ohio State University in 2006. I returned for a graduate certificate in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology through a joint program through the University of Arizona and the University of Kentucky. In 2017, I earned a Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) credential from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Then in 2018 I became an approved trainer in the CHDA curriculum. In the fall of 2021, I began a Doctor of Healthcare Administration (DHA) at Franklin University and am expected to graduate in June 2025. I am a member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), a board member for the Ohio Health Information Management Association (OHIMA), and the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
