About Amber Eisterhold

My involvement and leadership in organizations at Mizzou, such as the Mizzou Pre-Physician Assistant Association and Mizzou Student Suicide Prevention Coalition, led me to develop excellent leadership skills, including communication, time management, and adaptability. My time spent volunteering in underserved populations, such as at a Global Brigades trip to Honduras, or at Medzou here in Columbia, has taught me to be more compassionate and patient with individuals. These experiences also taught me that my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant is fueled by wanting to serve these underserved populations, and be a provider that aims to fix healthcare inaccessibility issues. I graduated from the University of Missouri in May of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, and minors in Psychology and Public Service and Leadership. I then started my journey to gaining patient care experience for PA school by accepting a job as a medical assistant for Dr. Seaberg, a plastic surgeon who has an office in Columbia, Missouri, which is where I currently still work.
