About Amber Hulse

I have over four years of experience working in catering, including working in weddings, and three years experience in retail. Throughout this experience I have been able to hone both organisational skills, as well as communication, working under pressure and making the customers experience as good as possible. I have have been paid for musical performances and have created, advertised and sold my own artwork and jewelry. My artwork has also been commissioned for small businesses. My work experience is varied, working with charities and children, including children with special needs. I believe my work experience has helped me with many skills I will require in the work place. I have graduated from Lancaster University with an upper second class degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. During this time I studied many authors and delved into the details behind a novel, what makes a story and what effect this has on the reader. I also now have three years of writing my own work, as well as editing other students work. These include novels, flash fiction, poetry and more, and has allowed me to gain a greater understanding of not only the editing process, but of a variety of genres and topics. I have two and a half years experience working as a Web Content Writer at Sykes Cottages.
