I am an experienced and innovative educator with a diverse work background that includes employment in early childhood, elementary education, public and private schools, online professional development facilitation, and Spanish language teaching from preschool ages through middle school as well at the undergraduate level.Committed to community building in the classroom, I embed my classes with whole class meetings, respect, individual student conferencing, and read alouds that teach. I take advantage of teachable moments. Assessments inform me about both my students’ learning and my teaching. Guiding students through content, I also model learning myself as a life-long learner of research-based educational strategies.I believe that collaboration with colleagues is a win-win for all involved, especially the students. As an educator, I uphold my students’ pursuit of a full-potential future by planning and providing enriching learning experiences in a safe and welcoming classroom environment that enhances their learning while honoring their interests, challenges, and talents.
