About Amber Jacobs

Amber Jacobs is currently working at YearBeyond as an Educational assistant. In the role she helps unprivileged children to read and write, offer emotional support as well as educational fun and play after school. Prior to her role as an Educational assistant she worked at Drakenstein Municipality as an Administrator and Reception in the Tourism department at the Tourism Information Centre. In this role she assisted Both international and local tourist with bookings, accommodation research and provided local tours of the City Paarl, Western Cape. Her additional duties were to do daily data capturing, stock control, Answering and responding to incoming mail and phonecalls, receiving tourist at reception. Amber also worked as an Assistant Secretary at New Orleans primary school. In this role she offered administration support to the secretary and principal of the school. Her duties were to answer emails and calls, daily filing, check registers, receive parents at reception and capture daily incoming data on excel and MS word. Amber is the owner and founder of Life of Giving Foundation. This NGO aims at improving the standard of living of the Paarl community and fights for basic human rights. Amber believes everyone should have, clean running water, enough nutrition, a safe environment, a non-polluted environment, Clothes and menstrual sanitary towels. Amber completed her studies at Boland College for Diploma Management Assistant in 2019 and she was actively involved in student matters. Amber was the Vice-Chairperson of the Student Representative Council where she fought for the rights of students. Amber completed her 180 Hours advance Certificate at Teach TEFL. She is equipped to teach Business English, Teaching Young and Teaching English Online. Her passion for teaching has encouraged her to make her dreams a reality. Amber is currently studying at The University of South Africa towards her Bachelor's degree in Education Foundation Phase teaching.
