Michigander at heart, Southerner for a little bit, current Mainer, and a fish health enthusiast always!I have specific experience in virology and cell culture, but am familiar with many facets of fish health and am excited to learn more. I earned my Masters in 2022 with the Michigan State University Aquatic Animal Health Lab and spent over a year in Auburn, Alabama with the USDA-ARS Aquatic Animal Health Research Unit shortly after. I’m currently a PhD student at the University of Maine, Aquaculture Research Institute. Previously, my focus was on freshwater fishes native to the Great Lakes Region and while I’ll always have a soft spot for Great Lakes fishes, I’ve enjoyed expanding into warm-water aquaculture species in the South Eastern US and am eager to learn more about cold-water species in the North East!
