About Amber Koronkiewicz

Creative and positive purple-haired city dweller who loves reading, new adventures, and new experiences.I am formally trained in History and Visual Arts and have general experience in social sciences. I have conducted Archival Research, am proficient in Chicago style citations, and am knowledgeable regarding historical methodologies. Art has always been a lifelong love of mine so I jumped at the opportunity to learn professional practices, figure drawing, watercolor painting, and acrylic painting in college. My current passion is working for the small family owned and operated Island Party Boat and Island Party Hut. Working in the Maritime Industry has been an immensely rewarding challenge. I have had to develop my boating skills, become First AID/CPR certified, and enroll in a US Coast Guard approved Random Drug Testing Program. My current position in the company has me managing rental boat operations, making sure that they arrive on time, that all legal and safety paperwork is completed, and helping dock the vessels. I interact with customers on a daily basis and it has been a really unique experience to work in a service industry where safety is always the main priority. Cultivating the professional ability to lead on the boats has strengthened many areas of my life, including my leadership skills, and my ability to work well with others. I would love to continue to work with customers and develop my skills as an artist and a historian. I feel like the next move for me is winter work at a gallery, museum, or small business.
