About Amber McCarthy

With over thirteen years of experience in the US Army, I have developed strong flying and analytical skills, as well as a security and information systems expertise. I flew various missions, ranging from reconnaissance to international, in support of the Army's objectives and operations. I also collaborate with other pilots, crew members, and ground forces to ensure safety, efficiency, and effectiveness. Prior to becoming a pilot, I worked as a helicopter mechanic for the Army for two years, where I performed maintenance, inspection, and repair of various aircraft systems and components. Before joining the Army, I worked as an operations analyst for Hyundai GLOVIS, where I analyzed and optimized the logistics and transportation processes of the company. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems Security from the University of Maryland University College, where I learned the fundamentals of cybersecurity, network security, and information assurance. I am passionate about flying, security, and information systems, and I strive to use my skills and expertise to serve and protect the nation and its interests.
