About Amber Okeefe

Over the past sixteen years, I have served ProHealth Physicians in five increasingly responsible roles culminating in my current position as the Manager of the Medication Management Program. ProHealth Physicians is a Physician-led primary care organization with over 90 locations caring for more than people statewide. We are part of OptumCare, a leading national information and technology-enabled health services business that values and supports the community-based health care delivery model to keep our providers and their patients at the forefront of a better, more effective care delivery system. I am proud to work for an organization committed to promoting health and quality of life through working with patients to address their concerns and providing them with the best possible care. I manage a central service that supports Medication renewals for all ProHealth family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric practices throughout the state of Connecticut. I oversee 23 direct reports – including 20-22 clinical staff (an equal mix of RN’s and LPN’s) and one Administrative Assistant. I lead implementations as the client-facing program manager for onsite program deployments, including creation, management, and oversight of the project. I oversaw the on-boarding of 44 new practices to a centralized Refill Management program. I have additional direct, frontline experience as a Medical Assistant, Emergency Room Technician, and Supervisor in a variety of settings, including hospitals, primary care practices, and home care. I am completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Goodwin University, and I am completing a second Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health at SNHU. I have experience with Lean/Six Sigma process improvement tools and techniques. I enjoy connecting with other professionals on LinkedIn and continuing lifelong learning.
