Background
About Ambria Rios
It all started with cold mozzarella sticks. In the summer of 2009, I was cashiering at a popular fast food restaurant when a man walked in with his son to place their order. The kind man politely placed an order for mozzarella sticks, and before leaving to find an open booth, he expressed how he hoped that they would be thoroughly cooked this time. Being a foodie enthusiast, I knew how important it was to get a customer's order right. As soon as the line cleared, I went to the chef and asked if he could personally make sure that all the mozzarella sticks were properly cooked because I wanted to make sure our customers were happy with their orders. During my next task of sweeping the lobby, I passed by the man and his son in their booth and noticed they were reaching the end of their meal. Hesitantly, I approached and introduced myself. I apologized for interrupting their meal, and explained that I just had to know if his order of mozzarella sticks was satisfactory. Little did I know, this act of curiosity led me down a path of 15 (now almost 16) years of service in healthcare. In my current role, I problem-solve by assisting patients with navigating the phone tree and providing an efficient way to reach their goal of getting scheduled. I empathize by acknowledging the patients feelings and offering support. I am able to adapt to new workflows in Epic every 18 months or on a daily basis if there are changes to the schedule. In 2022, during the height of the pandemic, I was awarded quarterly employee for my professionalism, teamwork, and customer service. The value I bring to a company is my commitment to help people overall. I thrive in a team setting and look forward to elevating the patient experience by making each interaction a memorable one. In my private life, I enjoy cooking new recipes and sharing them at potlucks, which has taught me how important the human connection is for the soul. I also care for a variety of pets with different dietary restrictions, which has taught me time management and attention to detail. Think your company could use an employee like me? Let's chat! I'd love to hear about any potential opportunities! Feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn!
