About Amedeo Cutuli

I was born in Milan and now live in Lodi, a small town near Milan. After attending classical high school, I studied Medicine at the University of Pavia. During Medical School, I was mainly interested in emergency medicine and intensive care. I am member of the Board of the Italian Cardiac Arrest Federation and of the Pavia nel Cuore association. I have been involved in digital communication since when I started the online presence of the Italian Red Cross committee where I served as a volunteer. Specifically in that context, I created a community that came to host members and discussions from all over Italy. In addition, I started an editorial team that followed the Red Cross missions during the earthquake in Molise (2002) and the war in Iraq (2003). Since 2011, I have been working permanently in the field of digital medical communication. I was in charge, as community manager, of the projects IAM - Interact Around Man and COOL - Community in Oncology on Lung Cancer. Since 2018, I have been the content manager of the Italian version of esanum, an international platform of information and expertise for physicians. As part of this project I also curate the content promotion on social networks Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Telegram. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I personally supervised the creation of content that was read and translated worldwide, including the interview with the first Italian physician sick with COVID-19, the interview with Prof. Luciano Gattinoni - one of the world's leading experts in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, and the interview with Annalisa Malara, MD who first realized that the new coronavirus had arrived in Europe.
