About Amedeo Pezzi

Actually I'm working within the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional administration as a technical specialist of the Energy Transition Service, focusing primarly on activities related to energy planning (drafting and execution of the 2024 Regional Energy Plan) and on the development of the Renewable Energy Communities. I collaborated with Europrogetti Srl working on the modelling of building-plant systems and on the consequential legal checks for energy refurbishment of existing buildings and for the realisation of new, highly energy efficient, buildings. During my research activity at University of Trieste I studied the mutual interaction between climate change and the evolution of energy consumption in the building sector. This led to the development of methodologies to reduce construction sector's impact on climate and increase its resilience to climate change. My activity allowed me to develop wide-range skills in different fields such as energy simulation of buildings, development of optimization workflows and of programming codes, energy planning on regional scale, drafting and management of regional contributions. I have also participated in several international conferences thanks to which I was able to improve my exhibition and communication skills.
