About Amee Poe-Gilbert

For over 10 years I have built the foundations of my career as an Occupational Health and Safety Leader. First for Microsoft Global Security (via Securitas) and later for Safeway (via Proof Positive), I established myself as an effective and results-oriented safety professional. My specialty is developing and supporting safety programs which reduce worker injuries, boost employee wellness and satisfaction, and lower direct and indirect costs to employers. With a Bachelor's degree in Law and Justice from Central Washington University and a Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management in progress, I know what it takes to plan, implement, and assess occupational health and safety programs and processes. I am passionate about creating a “safety first” culture in the workplace. Furthermore, I possess an EMT Certification and a Certification from the Institute for Health and Safety Management (ASHM). I love to serve our veterans, especially those with PTSD and brain injuries. I enjoy volunteering with All American Dogs, an organization I co-founded and to which I provide leadership on the Board of Directors. By training service dogs and getting them to veterans in need, I am giving back to the community and country that has given me so much.
