Background
About Amelia Blanchette
In 2020 I graduated with my Master’s from Smith College for Social Work. In addition I obtained my degree in Psychology from San Jose State University. As a professional I am continuously working towards the practice of human services in various areas of development. I love working with the public in various systematic levels and even more in a team environment atmosphere, that emphasizes high and positive energetic interventions that is focused on accounting for an individual’s intersectionalities. Highly passionate & deeply driven student with over 4 years in volunteer in numerous services and events, which allows me to practice my fast learning abilities and overall skills of working with the public. Respected & enthusiastic professional with a proven work ethic and interpersonal skills. Through my internship placements and mental health job positions, I was provided with the opportunity to work and develop skills with individuals who struggle with dual diagnoses and individuals with various diverse backgrounds as well as learned to navigate and collaborate with outside providers and agencies. I am always driven on being given new challenges to build upon new skills in various learning environments. Until the great mass of the people shall be filled with the sense of responsibility for each other's welfare, social justice can never be attained-Helen Keller If people have moral courage to stand up to the smallest injustice, their own and others', it's kind of practice for when big ones come around-Colleen Kelly Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others-Martin Luther King Jr. “Let the globe, if nothing else, say this is true: That even as we grieved, we grew That even as we hurt, we hoped That even as we tired, we tried” -Amanda Gorman
