About Amelia Giannopoulos

My career in marketing, advertising and research includes both industry and academic roles. My current role is National Brand and Communications Advisor at Piper Alderman Lawyers. I manage the firm's digital marketing platforms including website, social media and communications. At Norman Waterhouse Lawyers, I led the Marketing team in the management of events and publicity for the firm's Partners. I was responsible for the firm's business development initiatives, client relationship management and corporate partnerships/sponsorships. I launched the firm's web site which promoted the firm's major conferences and training initiatives. Prior to this role, I worked as Senior Marketing Manager for the Chapley Commercial and Retail Group and during this time I was awarded four Marketing Awards for Excellence awarded by the Property Council of SA. My Master of Business thesis examined Digital Advertising. This three year research project compared digital media to traditional methods of advertising and also extended to the UK market. During my role as Market Research Manager at Colmar Brunton Research, I conducted research studies for brands such as Goodman Fielder, Origin Energy, Local Government and Financial institutions. I have also worked in Academia. My roles included Lecturer for Marketing Communications Management at University of South Australia. During this time I also worked as a Research Associate for the Ehrenberg Bass Institute for Marketing Science (University of South Australia).
