About Amelia Lewis

Fifteen years of experience, and business management degree from Dalhousie University, have provided me with the ability to collect transferrable managerial and operational skills that I have utilized across several industries. I have managed diverse teams of 50 or more employees as well as caring for 150+ clients at a time in organizations. I build strong relationships with employees, clients and maintain partnerships to operate successfully. I have created and managed internal SOPs, organizational policies, and ministry requirements; in accordance with government and health and safety standards. I am very experienced with utilizing various operating systems, software platforms, and data entry. I thrive most as a manger that fosters inclusivity, and a supportive and collaborative environment. Examples of this include creating prayer/meditation spaces for employees, proactive anti-bias, accessibility and sensitivity training, creating multiple ways to provide feedback to management and using this information to better the company. I have hosted many different company social events, speaking engagements as well as wrote and conducted orientation/training sessions for employees. Public speaking, planning and hosting events is something that has always come to me with ease. My experience in hospitality, working with guests/clients, my ability to maintain relationships with over one hundred and fifty families at a time has provided me with excellent instincts to nurture multiple types of professional relationships. I am very capable of meeting concerns head-on, create creative resolutions, and if necessary, implement service recovery.
