About Amelia Probst

As a data scientist at PFF, I apply my passion for sports and statistics to provide insights and solutions to football, specifically in fantasy football and the betting space. I use Python, R, and MySQL to collect, analyze, and visualize data from various sources, such as game logs and player tracking. I also collaborate with other analysts and engineers to develop and improve data products and tools for PFF's clients. In addition to my current role, I have been a volunteer analyst for the Cornell Men's Lacrosse team since 2020, helping them optimize their performance and strategy using data and analytics. I also have experience as a baseball analytics associate at the New York Mets, where I supported the scouting and player development departments with data-driven reports and recommendations. I graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Statistics in 2022, where I learned the fundamentals and applications of data science and statistics. I am a motivated and curious data scientist who enjoys finding patterns and insights from complex and diverse data sets. I am always eager to learn new techniques and tools to improve my data science skills and to deliver value to the sports industry.
