Background
About Amelia Winston
I have had jobs or internships in medical research, lab settings, and marine biology; however, I have finally found what I want to do: accounting! I’m an upcoming senior at the University of Alabama majoring in accounting and minoring in math, and I continue my hobbies during the summers, which include working as a lifeguard and a camp counselor. My strongest skills are that I love being around people, and I'm incredibly skilled at solving problems. I'm a math tutor at the University of Alabama (up to calculus 2) through the math department's Math and Technology Learning Center, which allows me to be well-practiced in both learning and teaching. I’m currently working at Bryant Bank in Tuscaloosa, AL as an accounting intern. I’m excited to join Deloitte in Birmingham, AL as an audit intern in Winter 2024, whereafter I plan to get my MAcc and CPA.
