About Ami Hedenborg

A human rights defender and comms expert with a background as a journalist and from the theatre. Long experience in supervising. Started my own media company in 1997. Currently Head of the Outreach unit at Swedwatch, where I lead and mentor the unit with full managerial responsibility. I am a member of the management team, providing input as needed on organisational strategy and direction, participation in risks management and leadership decision implementation, including internal communications. Before this position, I was Media Manager and Spokesperson at Amnesty International, Sweden, for six years. Prior to this, I was working as a journalist for many years - mainly as a host, producer, and reporter within radio and TV. I also have theatre experience with more than 10 years of acting and directing. I´m a “people´s person” who contributes to groups with a lot of positive energy. Equality and intersectionality are essential to me. I´m stress-resistant, creative, innovative, efficient, and kind.
