About Ami Ishisaka

My name is Ami Ishisaka and I am a visual UI/UX designer. My journey in design began while working in a research team at the top university in Peru, where I was responsible for creating user-friendly interfaces for web platforms and educational games. In 2018, I sought to expand my knowledge and skills by pursuing a Master's Degree in Visual Communication Design at Yonsei University in South Korea, graduating in August 2021. Along with my studies, I had the opportunity to work for a consultancy company in Peru, where I honed my professional skills and collaborated with major brands in Latin America to deliver exceptional design solutions. In July of 2022, I started working for Rakuten Group as an UI/UX designer. My role involved designing user-friendly interfaces for one of their mobile applications, offering me a unique chance to delve into the inner workings of a large corporation. The experience provided me with valuable insights into the organisational structure, the diverse and multicultural team, and the multitude of individuals involved in bringing a product to market. My portfolio of work encompasses a range of web and mobile applications, websites, software interfaces, design systems and branding for both companies and individuals. I am a dedicated and hard-working individual, always seeking to learn and grow in my field. Working with a diverse and multicultural team is both a passion and a source of inspiration for me, as it allows me to broaden my perspective and bring fresh ideas to the table.
