Background
About Ami Marthak
From the very beginning of my career in 2012, when I entered the classroom in my early twenties, teaching quickly transformed from a modest start into a lifelong passion. What began as a simple step has grown into a deeply fulfilling journey that continues to evolve across different grades and curricula. With more than a decade of teaching experience, I have spent the past six and a half years working closely with senior learners—an experience that has been both enriching and inspiring. My specialization lies in Accounting, a subject I not only love but also thoroughly enjoy teaching. Alongside this, I hold a strong interest in Business Studies and the real business world. I am most happy, productive, and engaged when I am with my learners. Teaching, to me, is not just a profession but a lifetime commitment to facilitate and guide as many learners as I can. In my classroom, I embrace and experiment with different teaching methodologies, particularly the flipped classroom approach and kinaesthetic learning, because I believe learning is most impactful when it is active and interactive. I deeply respect the pace of learning of each individual, valuing their unique journeys. For me, education extends beyond textbooks—values and behavior play a crucial role in shaping who we become. As a teacher, I bring with me love, affection, care, and gratitude, creating an environment where learners feel supported and inspired. I firmly believe that teaching is also learning—I gain as much from my students as I give them, and this mutual exchange brings me immense joy. Much like the principles of Accounting remind us, learning and growth are a two-way process: together, we grow not only academically but also as individuals. “Learning never stops—together, we grow in knowledge and in character.
