About Ami Thakkar

I have spent the past 2.5 years working with Apttus as a Technical Consultant/analyst. I had my hands-on Salesforce for building dashboards, reports, product configuration, and handling database. Moreover, my day-to-day tasks involved data cleaning, data visualization to build reports and dashboards for Sales, active users, active contracts, and their stages. I was involved in managing databases to create views, triggers, writing queries in MSSQL, and Salesforce SOQL. Also, applying techniques like regression and prediction for exploratory data analysis, and build Deal Guidance to provide discounts based on order amount, deal size to increase sales. Moreover, I was involved in building a recommendation system for E-commerce System on Apttus products. Overall, I have experience working with tools and software like R, Python, Tableau, and MSSQL. During my academics I got a chance to learn about exploratory analysis, data manipulation, statistical analysis, advanced data visualization, and data mining techniques and strengthen my analytical foundation. During my academics, I have worked on projects like the classification of forest cover type based on various variables like distance to hydrology, wilderness area, soil type, etc. using KNN, Random Forest, and CART in R. This has enabled me to gain advanced knowledge in building models for classification and select the best model based on its efficiency. Also, I have worked on a project for predicting disease based on its symptoms using KNN and multiple regression in Python. Thus, I have incurred knowledge of both classification and predictive models. Moreover, I have worked on Twitter Sentimental Analysis of Stimulus check by scrapping twitter for multiple time frames and perform analysis on tweets exploratory analysis to analyze changing positive and negative views of people for a stimulus check. Also, my work in Apttus entailed communicating with field sales engineers to gather requirements, leading functionality development, and working with cross departments to ensure successful delivery of the project. This has made me a good communicator, team player, leader, and multitasker. Also, I had taken a course in Business Communication that molded my communication skills set related to business and case Analysis.
