How do I turn on your air conditioning?” My best friend asked as I drove through the winding neighborhood streets that connected our childhood homes. “Ok, see the white button on the right?” I began. “Can you just do it?” She whined. “But then you won’t learn how to do it for next time.” She rolled her eyes and muttered, “Ugh, you’re such a teacher!” I have always been a teacher and always will be a teacher. No matter my profession, my brain is constantly analyzing inputs and assessing the best way to communicate this information to someone else. Whether I’m explaining AI learning algorithms, how to set up benefit plans in an HRIS, or the research behind the newest UX design, I am always seeking to distill complex information into digestible components. In my roles as an enablement and training professional I have: Led the creation of global customer training, enablement strategies, and internal product certification programs Designed and delivered end-to-end product training and customer enablement curricula Built internal enablement and certification paths for Sales and Customer Success employees Implemented and managed Learning Management System (LMS) platforms Created and maintained user guides, training materials, help center articles, product release notes, and internal knowledge-base documentation As an enablement manager and product trainer, I understand that enablement and customer education are about more than teaching a person how to use a specific piece of technology. I strive to help customers and colleagues alike understand the true value and potential of every product so they can achieve the best possible results.
