About Amine Sassi

As a Measurement Systems Engineer at General Motors, I collect and review measurements for quality control and verification for various vehicle components, using industry-standard tools and techniques. I apply GD & T principles and report quality control test results to project managers, ensuring that vehicle requirements and standards are met. I have a MASc in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, where I conducted research on tool wear prediction using Machine Vision and Neural Networks. I programmed and conducted metal-cutting experiments on a CNC lathe machine, and built a neural network to predict the tool lifetime using condition-based monitoring. I have intermediate skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, MATLAB, NX7, Ansys, and Siemens Unigraphics for product development and testing. I am driven to continuously adapt to new technology for the progression of the Automotive Industry, as demonstrated by my devotion to the University of Windsor's Formula SAE Vehicle Team.
