About Amir Azaron

I currently hold a part-time teaching position at UBC Sauder School of Business in Vancouver, Canada, teaching courses such as Operations Management at undergraduate level and Supply Chain Management at master's level since 2020 (this is an ongoing position). Beside this position, I also hold a faculty position at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, which I joined in 2017. I am the chair of Subcommittee on Quantitative Courses at Senate Standing Committee on Curriculum, co-chair of Data Analytics Competency Committee, and Business Graduate Dept. representative on Faculty Council at Kwantlen. Before joining UBC, I held a temporary part-time senior lecturer position in Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University from January 2016 until December 2019. Before joining the Beedie, I held a research associate position in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Ryerson University in Toronto, during which I wrote a successful NSERC Discovery Grant's proposal. I've held various academic positions in North America, Europe and Asia, including 4 years of lectureship position in Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin in Ireland and other postdoctoral, research and faculty positions at Istanbul Sehir University in Turkey, Dalhousie University in Canada, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, Linköping University in Sweden, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, University College Cork in Ireland, Reykjavik University in Iceland, University of Bu-Ali-Sina in Iran and National Institute of Engineering, Technology and Innovation in Portugal. My research interests are in Multiple Objective Decision Making, Stochastic Networks, Supply Chain Management, Reliability, Production Planning and Project Management. I have more than 50 refereed publications in a variety of Operations Research/Management Science/Operations Management journals including IJPR, IJPE, EJOR, C & OR, C & IE, OR Spectrum, Annals of OR, OR, etc, all indexed in ISI Web of Science.
