About Amir Meddas

I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree in Quantum, Light, and Matter at Université Paris-Saclay, alongside an Engineering degree in Optics and Photonics from Institut d’Optique Graduate School. My interests lie in experimental condensed matter physics, particularly in the development of optical setups, electronic transport measurements, and the study of quantum materials under extreme conditions. Over the past two years at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (LPS), I have worked on several projects involving laser systems, cryogenic environments, and mechanical design. These experiences have taught me to approach research not as a linear path toward a result, but as a process that demands patience, iteration, and technical precision. Currently, I am continuing this work during a research visit at AGH University of Krakow, where I’m contributing to transport experiments on correlated electron systems. I value a research environment where people can learn from each other, ask good questions, and take the time to build things carefully. My aim is to develop a solid understanding of the systems I study, while contributing in a reliable and thoughtful way to the collective work of a research team.
