About Amir Shamsul

MBA graduate from Cambridge with a background in Mechanical-Automotive Engineering and a strong foundation in AI and programming. Currently in PROTON’s Project Management Office (PMO), where I coordinate across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Marketing and other vital departments to ensure new vehicle projects are launched on time, meet quality targets, and are market-ready. My role covers milestone planning, cross-functional alignment, issue resolution, and progress tracking. Previously in Corporate Quality, I handled warranty issues by tracking Top 10 recurring and 12MIS (12-month in-service) defects, while also managing the quality of KD (knocked-down) parts on the assembly line. I conducted inspections, root cause analysis, implemented corrective actions, and supported R&D trials of improved or cost-effective parts. Key Contributions at PROTON: Presented at national preview events for the 2025 All-New X50 (Dealers, Media & Public Previews). Organized and emceed major events attended by top management. Coordinated prototype builds and tracked test vehicles locally and abroad. Supported retrofit and repair operations for pilot builds. Conducted voice recognition testing and planned camouflage for road trials. Managed overtime planning and claims for project teams. Developed a warranty tracker and KD Parts Management Manual—both still actively used today.
