Background

About Amira Ozrain

I am a psychology student with a strong interest in psychological research, particularly within the field of music cognition and perinatal mental health. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree, I intend to pursue a PhD to contribute original research in either area.Alongside my academic focus, I am deeply engaged in university governance and student leadership. I serve as the sole undergraduate representative on the Senate of Murdoch University and am on the Academic Council, contributing to high-level discussions surrounding academic policy, institutional strategy, and student experience. My wider involvement within the Student Guild and broader community reflects my dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive, and academic focused environments.Through my roles, I design and lead initiatives that promote wellbeing, foster belonging, and create meaningful opportunities for students to grow both academically and professionally. Outside of academia, I am in the midst of developing my own clothing line centred on staple pieces, made of quality, sustainable fabric. I am always looking for opportunities to connect with others and collaborate and am always happy to chat over a coffee!
