About Amisha Sethi

I am pursuing a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy at UC Berkeley. I am an undergraduate research apprentice at the Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality & Anti-Discrimination Law where I work with a range of scholars, lawyers, activists, and practitioners within the Center, who work on numerous different dimensions of LGBTQI+ rights and identities across a broad range of jurisdictions and regions. Concurrently, I am an undergraduate writing tutor at the UC Berkeley Student Learning Center where I dedicate 8-10 hours a week to supporting students with diverse academic backgrounds to develop and edit writing pieces they have been assigned in their various classes. Previously, I have interned as a legal research assistant at Her Lawyer, an attorney network dedicated to providing women with legal services, and as an immigration intern at the International Rescue Committee, a humanitarian organization that helps refugees and displaced people. Through these experiences, I have developed a passion for human rights, social justice, and advocacy, and I aspire to become a lawyer who can advance these causes.
