As a senior product and innovation leader with over 15+ years in the digital payments and banking domain. I specialized in building transformative payment solutions that bridge regulatory mandates, market needs, and customer experience. Over the years, I have led diverse assignments across product development, delivery management, client consulting, pre-sales, and project execution—with deep exposure to the payment landscapes in India, APAC, Europe, and the US. At the core of my expertise is a solid command over digital payment systems—including mobile banking, NFC, EMV, PoS/ATM, QR-based payments, NFC/contactless, tokenization and emerging technologies like SoftPoS. I have worked closely with global payment schemes like Visa, Mastercard, Amex, NPCI, CUP, JCB, and regulators like RBI, translating evolving mandates / new products into compliant and scalable technology solutions and in the prototypes. Currently associated with IFTAS (an RBI subsidiary), as AVP – Product & Innovation, where I drive digital payment adoption strategies by aligning desired products with regulatory priorities. I lead the full product lifecycle— from ideation to prototype ensuring ecosystem-wide interoperability and compliance. Also support RBI through solutioning, prototyping, and hackathon engagements that align with national payment priorities. Previously at NPCI, I played a pivotal role in product migration, NCMC, and international scheme onboarding (JCB & UPI) over RuPay Network. I also led EMV product certification and onboarding programs for banks across issuance and acquiring over RuPay Network. I’m passionate about translating technology into real-world impact—whether that means improving user experience, accelerating adoption, or building systems that scale securely.
