About Amit Anjanee

Dr. Anjanee has been an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai, and has been associated with NIFT since 2009. He was holding the responsibility of Industry and alumni relations at NIFT Head Office, New Delhi, for almost 5 years and was taking care of placements, internships, and various industry & alumni connections for all NIFT campuses across India. He has 23+ years of work experience in Planning, Merchandising, Research, Training, Management Consulting and Teaching in the Garment Business & Administration. His expertise includes Product Development, Costing, Fashion Merchandising, Planning, Plant Layout, and Sustainability. He held positions in the industry as a Management Consultant at Technopak Advisors Pvt. Ltd, India and was involved in various plant start-ups and re-engineering the apparel manufacturing process in a lead consultant role. He was also Heading Planning & Operations. Dr. Amit Kumar Anjanee has participated in various national and international conferences and authored several research papers in the area of sustainable development, Lean principles, garment manufacturing, training etc. The recent one was presented at the IFFTI conference 2023 in Dunedin, New Zealand in April 2023. Dr. Anjanee have visited countries such as Germany, China, Vietnam, Dubai, Egypt, Jordan, Mauritius, Madagascar, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia and their Fashion/ Apparel supply chain sources, Institutions, Nodal agencies & associations to strengthen academic industry relationships.
