About Amit Baid

I am a serial entrepreneur, investor, and technology executive who has founded venture-backed successful software (SAAS) start up’s, exited a fintech startup to Coupa Software (NASDAQ: COUP), and have led technology investments for Fidelity Investments and Neuberger Berman. My varied experiences have allowed me to hone a broad set of skills ranging from engineering and product development to sales to strategy, venture, and corporate development. I am adept at taking an idea from a piece of paper to multi-millions dollars in revenue. I have an MBA from the Wharton School and Electronics Engineering degree from NIT in India. Most recently, I founded TradeFin – a supply chain finance and payments platform – that provided financing to suppliers of some of the world’s largest corporations. TradeFin was recently acquired by Coupa Software (NASDAQ; COUP) and currently I lead the Payments and Working Capital Solutions business for Coupa. Prior to founding, TradeFin, I co-founded Pipal Tech Ventures in 2011. At Pipal Tech, we built a consumer engagement platform - MoEngage. MoEngage has been recognized by Gartner as a leader in AI-driven consumer engagement and is used by global corporations like Samsung, T Mobile, Walmart, etc. MoEngage is currently a Series C-funded company. Before embarking on my entrepreneurial adventure, I led Fidelity’s investments in public and private software and internet companies globally. Over a period of 5 years, based on my investment thesis, Fidelity invested more than $3 billion in Google, Facebook, Ariba, Successfactors, Arcsight, Netezza, Xero, Intuit and several other software and internet companies. My passion is to help build innovative products and convert them into successful businesses.
