About Amit Pobari

I am a finance and compliance professional with over 10 years of post-qualification experience. As a CA, CPA, and CISA with a B.Com degree, I have developed a deep understanding of financial and compliance matters across various industries and regions. Currently, I am working as a Manager of Compliance and Auditing at Ecolog International, where I oversee compliance for multiple regions and work closely with auditors and third parties to ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, I assist our management with report automation using Power BI and advanced Excel tools to provide accurate and timely reporting. Prior to this, I served as a Finance Specialist at Emirates Flight Catering Company, where I assisted the senior finance manager in budgeting, cash flow reporting, management reporting, and financial closing processes under a shared service environment. Earlier in my career, I worked at M/s JN Kanabar and Co as a Branch Manager, managing compliance for small and mid-size clients and handling bank branch audits. I then moved to the Befree group, where I served as a Financial Controller, managing various financial matters such as advance tax planning, cash flow management, year-end compliance, and transfer pricing compliance, among others. Throughout my career, I have worked with various financial software such as SAP, Oracle - J D Edwards, Power BI, Cognos - Consolidation Tool, Advance Excel, PowerPoint and other Office 365 apps, as well as Xero, Tally, MYOB, and Google worksheets.
