Head of Vehicle Feasibility and Package Engineering at Lotus Tech Creative Centre, UK. Responsible for leading Vehicle Development projects from Concept stage to Start of Production for Lotus Cars. Previously employed as a Vehicle Architecture Leader at Special Vehicle Operations, Jaguar Land Rover, UK. Amit has over 10 years of experience in Vehicle Concepts and Vehicle Package Engineering at Jaguar Land Rover and Ford Motor Company, Europe. He has lead and delivered successfully a wide variety of products - Ford Ecoboost engines installation in global C car platform, platform development for Ford Focus, Fiesta and Transit vans, new Jaguar XF, Land Rover Discovery Sport and various SVO halo and limited edition products including F-Pace SVR, Project 8 and SV Coupe. Experience in product development, engineering management and product lifecycle management. Amit strives for product excellence and continuous improvement in his projects. Currently leading an engineering team across three countries design and develop the next generation of D&E segment Lotus Cars Lifestyle Vehicles, codenamed Type 132, Type 133 and Type 134. His job also involves project management, discussions with various attributes team, target setting, supporting finance and marketing teams with business case preparation, sign offs for test vehicles and customization to fulfill legal and functional requirements.
