About Amitava Ghosal

As an infrastructure architect (Open Group Certified Architect) with 25 years of industry experience, I ensure reliability and scalability of infrastructure services using tools and automation to reduce cost and optimize utilization. I work on multiple technologies across enterprise with a vision to see beyond the obvious. I provide architectural knowledge, direction, and leadership to the team to perform the work to completion. I involve the application and integration of a variety of elements bringing together to produce infrastructure architecture. I have around 25 years’ experience, of which the last 10 years have been with IBM. My primary skills are adoption of new technologies for business processes, especially around cloud and automation, leading to reduction of costs and increase of efficiency. I am usually working on cross program / project architecture strategies, opportunities and problem resolution. I act as an auditor to ensure conformance and compliance of projects and programs with Architect guidelines. I am a consultant in business process analysis and design and service delivery, particularly with respect to the use of information, and trends and directions.I believe in seeing the positive side of life. I try to bring out the best in situations and people to get great things done. I love to learn new things, whether it be related to my profession or part of my passion. I am enthusiastic about new technologies and their potential to solve existing business problems. I work well with diverse teams across multiple geographic locations bringing in experience and empathy required, especially during conflict resolution. I enjoy mentoring people to help them achieve their goals. I believe in personal integrity in all my interactions with clients, colleagues and friends.
