About Amlan Jena

I am a Product Manager at Setu, a FinTech platform that enables developers to build and integrate various financial services. At Setu, I am responsible for leading the product strategy and roadmap for the UPI infrastructure. I work closely with engineering, design, compliance, and business teams to deliver innovative and user-friendly solutions for our customers and partners.Before joining Setu, I was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Antler, a global startup generator and early-stage VC. There, I collaborated with top operators and investors to explore and validate startup ideas in the Indian market, focusing on the fields of blockchain and Web3. I applied the fundamentals of investment thesis, zero-to-one building, market sizing, and user research to various growth problems and opportunities.Prior to Antler, I worked as a Product Manager at Paytm, India's leading digital payments platform, where I led the development and integration of UPI Lite, a new on-device wallet feature that enhanced the user experience and security of money transfers. I also improved the conversion rate of Paytm's insurance broking business by refining the customer journey and integrating new health insurance plans.I hold an MBA in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India's premier business schools, where I won multiple case competitions and solved cases with corporate houses and startups. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Vellore Institute of Technology.My core competencies are strategy, FinTech, and product management, and I am passionate about exploring the potential of frontier technologies to create innovative and inclusive solutions.
