About Ammar Ewes

Ammar Ewis is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Sustainable design engineering at UPEI- Cairo campus. He holds a dual BSc. Degree in mechanical engineering from the British university in Egypt and Loughborough university based in the UK, graduating in 2017 as the first of his class and publishing his first research paper. Upon graduation, Ammar joined the BUE as a research assistant while starting his MSc in renewable energy at London south bank university. With his academic contributions, Ammar joined prestigious companies such as Carrier corporation and Orascom construction; this gave him exposure and relevant industry experience. Ammar joined UPEI – Cairo campus in 2019 as a TA and finished his MSc in 2020. He then joined the Memorial University of Newfoundland to earn his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and was promoted to a lecturer at the same institute. He also holds the position of a research fellow at the center of risk assessment at the Memorial University of Newfoundland while consulting for several companies in MEP, energy modeling, and renewable energy systems design.
