About Ammar Mechouche

I am eXpert in Advanced Analytics & Big Data at Airbus Helicopters (AH) General Engineering since 2019. I joined Airbus in 2013 as research engineer. I first developed a solution which enables the processing of the big amounts of flight data collected from helicopters flying worldwide. I have been since leading the development of the helicopter flight data analytics activity and its diffusion in the different metiers in order to generate value for AH and its customers. Previously, I have been awarded a Ph.D. from the University of Rennes 1 in 2009. I worked on the development of an ontology-based system for brain MRI image annotation. Before joining Airbus, I have been working as 1) post-doc on data integration at the research department of the French Mapping Agency (IGN); 2) research assistant (ATER) at the LIS Lab of Aix-Marseille University; and 3) software engineer at Thales. I am co-author of more than 20 papers published in peer reviewed conferences / journals; mainly in the computer science / helicopter domains. Domains of interest- Big Data / Data Science / Advanced Data Analytics - Artificial Intelligence - Time Series Data (especially flight data)- Predictive Maintenance
