About Amol Boral

With over 19 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, and nondestructive testing (NDT) of metallurgical equipment and plants, I am the DGM-QA at SMS India Pvt. Ltd, a leading provider of integrated solutions for the steel industry. I hold certifications in NDT Level 3 in radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and magnetic particle testing (MPT), and I am a qualified welding inspector with knowledge of ASME standards and codes. My mission is to ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of steel industry equipment, such as slag pot transfer cars, teeming cars, tundish, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, mould oscillation stands, ladles, Interstand assembly items, chokes, valves, pumps, etc. I oversee the quality documentation, audits, and customer satisfaction, and manage the quality team in the western region of India. I have successfully delivered multiple projects with high quality standards and compliance, and have contributed to the continuous improvement and innovation of the company's products and processes. I am passionate about enhancing the skills and performance of the quality team, and have trained and mentored them in NDT and welding techniques.
