About Amrendra Kumar Ajit

Experienced Assistant Professor of Law skilled in International Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Law of Torts, Biotechnology and Law and Legal Research. Strong education professional with Ph.d. in Patent Law. Presently I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. I obtained LL.B. and LL.M. with specialization in Public International Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Law of Contract from the historic Banaras Hindu University. I have been a holder of the UGC-Merit Scholarship at the LL.B. and LL.M. levels. I started my academic carrier by joining the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, Chhatisgarh as Assistant Lecturer in 2007. I have been the Resident Administrator for the Microsoft Intellectual property Scholarship for the year 2009-10 at HNLU. I participated in various seminars relating to Intellectual Property Laws, Public International Law and Constitutional Law. I was guest faculty for Chhattisgarh Police Training Academy in 2008 and Guest Speaker for Chhattisgarh Medicinal Pant Board 2009. I served as faculty advisor of various committees of HNLU including Wardenship of Boys Hostel. I served HNLU for two and half years. My Second working institution was the National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack. I became part of the NLUO family in July 2010 as Assistant Professor of Law. I have been awarded Doctorate Degree from my Employer University in 2016 on the topic ‘Human Gene Patenting: An Analysis of Ethical - Legal Issues and it's Social Implications. I participated in an Advance IPR training program organized by the Center for Advanced Study in Innovation and Policy (CASRIP), Law School, University of Washington, Seattle as a Microsoft fellow in July 2016. In addition to academic works, I served NLUO under various administrative capacities like Chief Warden, Convenor Undergraduate Council, Examination Controller (i/c), Joint Registrar (i/c),(Academic Planning and Development). My current and third working institution is the University of Delhi. I joined here as an Assistant Professor, full-time, in March 2018. I am working in the Law Centre-I, Faculty of Law. In addition to academic works, working for various committees at the Centre and Faculty levels. My areas of interest lie in Intellectual Property Laws, Public International Law, Constitutional law, Jurisprudence, Law of Torts, Research Methodology, and Law and Religion.
