About Amritha Salian

I am a gold medalist with more than 17 years of professional work experience in venture capital and private equity investments, acquisitions and commercial contracts. I enjoy efficient and solution based deal making - specifically, understanding commercial and business objective and achieving those objectives through solutions that are legally sound. Prior to joining Chiratae, I spent close to 15 years working with Indian law firms and about a decade as partner at law firms. As partner, I advised investors with their investments and both promoters and companies with fund raise and structuring. I also advised companies with review and negotiation of their commercial contracts, strategy on disputes and compliance with law on anti-harassment at workplace. Key representation as investor counsel include representation for Berkshire Hathaway and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative for their investments in India and for Sequoia Capital India for its investments in India, Singapore, United States and Mauritius. Key representation as company counsel include representation for Pine Labs in its acquisition of Qwikcilver, for Alniche Life Sciences, Tirupati Medicare, MedGenome and Imstrong in connection with their fund raise and structuring. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, trekking the Himalayas, travelling, outdoor sports and fitness.
