About Amro Elebeid

As a logistician who has been involved in this field of expertise since 2005, I gained a lot of qualifications and the experience in my previous positions as Logistics Manager in the private sector and as logistician at the ICRC. During the five years that I established and lead the ICT logistics services for the ICRC in Sudan, I have created and developed new systems and mechanisms of logistics supply chain, provided innovative ideas on how to manage inventories and established many procedures and policies for order management, stock monitoring and equipment movement which is now adopted and applied globally within ICRC by many ICT departments. My one-month mission as Logistics expert to the ICRC delegation in Somalia was a great opportunity to develop my international experience. I developed time management skills which allowed me to prepare the mission while keeping up with my job workload and deadlines, accomplish the mission goals set by the regional coordinator within the given time frame and I have managed to adapt well to a different work environment within a short time. Being in a managerial position with the responsibility for more 25 staff has been a challenge I have enjoyed greatly which helped me to develop team work skills, ability to motivate people, to be organized, prioritize, delegate tasks ensuring the relevant follow-up and ability to deal with stress and demanding working environment. Logistics has been a longstanding passion of mine and I am proud of the skills I have gained over the past years.
