With over 20 years of legal experience in higher education, including almost two years as Interim Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Emory University and previously as a partner in the labor and employment section of Kilpatrick Townsend, I have earned a reputation as a problem solver, strategic thinker, and trusted advisor to senior executives, trustees, and leaders at all levels. I have a deep understanding of the complex issues impacting colleges and universities, with specific expertise in areas of faculty affairs, shared governance, tenure and promotion, student affairs, open expression, threat assessment, Title VI, Title IX, and crisis management. As a seasoned litigator, I manage high stakes, complex matters with the highest levels of integrity, judgment and expertise.
